Montgomery…Making History Again

The New Montgomery Convention Center & Hotel
The centerpiece of Montgomery’s riverfront renaissance is a new state-of-the-art convention center and an adjacent
four-star Marriott Renaissance hotel in the heart of the Riverfront District. Developed by Alabama Real Estate Holdings, a portfolio company of
the Retirement Systems of Alabama, this $160 million hotel overlooking the river will be located directly in front of the
existing civic center. The 347 room four-star hotel includes a full-service spa and fitness center, a pool and two unique
restaurant choices. The existing civic center just completed a $29 million expansion increasing the meeting,
exhibition and ballroom space by almost 50%, as well as adding a 1,800-seat, world-class, performing arts center.
